A large crowd witnessed the finish of the 9th Lancers ' Regimental Cross - Country race at Cottesbrooke on Saturday . In the large group will be seen Lt. - Col . H. N. Scott Robson ( left ) and Mrs. Robson ( in hunting kit ) . In the lower picture are the winners : Mr. George Mey rick ( lightweight ) on the left and Capt . G. Grosvenor ( heavyweight ) .

SCOTT le Bicester and Lady Curre's puppy - shows , pictured at the top , were held in far more salubrious weather than that which usually smites these tertainments and were attended by the customary number of distinguished brother Masters . Mr. Field - Marsham , who used to be in the Bays 1 was more than somewhat good at polo , is Joint - M.F.H . the Bicester with General Giles Courage , and they are reported to have a very . e entry . Mr. Guy Cubitt , from the Crawley and Horsham , and Sir Peter Farquhar , the retiring Joint - Master of the Whaddon , were judging . Lady rre's wonderful pack of all - white hounds ( with a lot of Belvoir in them ) were judged by the Duke of Beaufort , one of England's best amateur itsmen , and Sir Robert Green - Price , a famous former Master of the Teme Valley . Lady Curre has had a wonderful season and hounds have killed ecord number of foxes . The 9th Lancers " B " team , practically their subalterns ' side , won the Junior Cup at the recent Beaufort Tournament , ting " Kandahar ( 12th Lancer Subalterns ) by 6 to 4 ( rec . 2 ) , and thanks to Captain Carr's instruction look like being a useful side by the time the Subalterns ' Gold Cup comes round
