The marriage took place at All Saints ' , Wokingham , on Wednesday of Mr. Robert Harry Bertram Arkwright , 12th Royal Lancers , son of Mr. and Mrs. Arkwright , of Brochwood Park , Alresford , Hants , and Miss Kathleen Gladys Hanbury , daughter of the late Major Everard Hanbury , Scots Guards , and Mrs. Hanbury , The Mill House , Coln St. Aldwyn , Gloucestershire . The officiating clergy were the Rev. F. C. Sear , the Rev. Bertram Long , and Canon Norris . The bride , who was given away by her mother , wore a gown of cream georgette and lace , with a train of gold tissue bordered with gold - threaded lace . Her tulle veil was held by a coronet of pink orange - blossom . There were six grown - up bridesmaids - Miss Hanbury ( sister of the bride ) , Miss Arkwright and Miss Rafela Arkwright ( sisters of the bridegroom ) , Miss Wilmot - Sitwell , Miss Rymer , and Miss Dugdale . They wore dresses of blue georgette , with head - dresses of blue leaves frosted with silver , and they carried sheaves of white lilies . The best . man was Mr. M. E. B. Sparke , 12th Royal Lancers , and a reception was held after the wedding at Buckhurst , the residence of Mrs. Murdoch ( grandmother of the bride ) . TH R.H.B. ARKWRIGHT'S WEDDING .
