151 F. SPICER ( NA BOTH ) COLOGNE 1919 . POLO MATCH AT KALK . 17th v . 12th Lancers . The following polo match took place on the Lancers Brigade polo ground at Kalk last Saturday in the Handicap Polo Tournament , Group B.: 17th v . 12th Lancers . Col. Melville 1 , Lieut . Browne 1 . Lt. Gossage 2 , Capt . Adair 2 . Capt . Turner 3 , Capt . Richardson 3 . Capt . Boles back , Col. Bailey back . On the handicap the 17th Lancers had to concede 6 goals , and 4 chukkas only were played . The 17th Lancers were continually pressing but their shooting was somewhat erratic . They scored once in each of the first three chukkas , but in the last they were unable to add to their three goals . Thus the 12th Lancers with their original start of 6 goals won by 6-3 . For the winners Col. Baily played a very good defensive game and Capt . Richardson also played well . For the losers Col. Melville and Capt . Boles were seen to the best advantage . 26 168 .
