SUBJECT : . 8 It has been clearly established that the English used many of our prisoners at BARDIA , especially those captured in the first phases to try and divert our artillery and anti - tank fire from their A.F.Vs. Atrocities committed by English at BARDIA . Some prisoners were re tied to English tanks and others were forced to march in front of A.F.V. formations when attacking our strong points . Please see that this is widely male known ; also a clear warning to be given to all that the use of such an atrocious expedient must not , and , will not , divert our artillery and anti - tank fire from enemy A.F.V.S.
