With reference to your letter of the 5th instant , No. 28550/2 ( G ) , I am directed to inform you that sanction has been given to the undernamed officers to proceed on Tuesday next ,
August 24th , to General Headquarters for duty with the Army in the Field for a period of four days viz :
Lieut Colonel B.B. Dietz ,
Commanding 4th Reserve Cavalry Regiment . Lieut Colonel F. F. Colvin ,
Commanding 7th Reserve Cavalry Regiment .
Sir ,
LONDON . S.W.
Commanding 11th Reserve Cavalry Regiment .
The required warrants should be issued by your orders .
The Officers will travel via Folkestone and Boulogne ,
and will leave Victoria by the 8.30 a.m. train on August 24th .
The party will return on August 28th .
Officers should take a valise containing blankets and
Commanding - in - Chief ,
20th August 1915 .
pillow , change of underlinen , spare pair of boots , pair of trousers , washing things ; no camp kit will be necessary but a waterproof , etc. ,
pair of gum boots , with several pairs of socks will be useful .
Some provisions should be taken .
I am to add that no servants may be taken .
