Page 31 / Joined 12th Lancers at Bangalore - My arrival coincided with the Regiments first appearance in khaki a curious get - up consisting of khaki coat , white helmet with khaki cover & neck - pad , long brown boots like a Life guardsman and gold laced blue pantaloons .
