In the Regiment roday Officers and Warrant Officers wear scarlet piping as back seams on the No. 1 Dress Jacket so the Dress Committee may have rescinded its original decision. 2. In March 1964 the Dress Committee approved the pattern of Side Hat as follows: Dark blue body piped gold. Dark blue tip. Dark blue flaps piped gold. Dark blue peak. 2 anodised gold buttons. Embroidered badge on dark blue. OR Pattern all scarlet with yellow cloth piping and metal badge. 3. In June 1967 the Dress Committee approved that a polished brass waist belt plate with badge, pin and catch could be worn with plastic waist belts. (Chrome is actually worn). 4. In March 1974 the Dress Committee approved the wearing of a red and yellow lanyard by soldiers. 5. The pattern of Mess Dress was not finally approved until December 1986 and is as follows: ' Jacket: Canadian pattern. Blue with scarlet stand collar and pointed scarlet cuffs 6" deep at the points and 2.3” behind with 1” gold lace at top of each cufi on front and back. Collar fastener of gold Russian gimp. Double gold shoulder cords fastened with regimental button. Scarlet welting on back seams of body and sleeves, around bottom edge of jacket and on top edge of cufis at front and back. 1” gold lace around top edge and down front edges of collar extending down front edges of body. Inside pocket. Red satin lining. No collar badges. Silver embroidered reduced size badges of rank. Vest: Canadian pattern. Scarlet with stand collar and fastener with hook and eyes.
