a. Our ‘Tiffy SSgt Norman went mis»
sing for 2 days and became the
“Regimental Hero“.
b. The Krumback Fire Brigade turned
out to wash down our vehicles one
weekend.

wursl's” private bodyguard for the
Regimental Exercise.
d. Cpl Wheeldon played the dustbin
whilst giving an unusual rendition of
”The Music Man" on the ENDEX
SMOKER"I
With our arrival back at Wolfen»
buttel at the time of writing, we are
confronted with the prospect of the
Spring Probex. Somehow the vehicles
will be gleaming and the crews
immaculate, but we have a great deal
of hard work to do in the next 6 days!
No rest for the wicked!
The Year In Retroapecl
B Squadron has already completed
one full training season in its new
medium reconnaissance role and is
now well into its second. All members
can be justifiably proud of their
achievements. Militarily we can claim
to have swept the board in 1984 as
individual and overall winners in the
Regimental Troop Tests, producing the
winner of the NCO Cadre Course and
achieving the highest overall marks on
the pre-Gunnery Camp competitions in
addition to the fire Open Range Firing
Report. To round it off we have the
best PRE Inspection results throughout
the year and are awaiting the award of
the coveted Rolls Royce Shield. This
is a record that will sorely test any
other squadron to match, having set
the standard, our problem is now to
maintain it throughout 1985.
On the sporting side we have
produced consistently high performanes
in the various Inter Squadron com-
petitions even if the final results have
sometimes been frustrating The sports
round up as follows:
Rugby Final, Runners Up
Athletics Final, Runners Up
Cricket Final, Runners Up
Football Final, Winners
Volleyball Final. Runners Up
Basketball Final, Winners
Only in the lnter~Squadr0n Hockey
Competition did we fail to reach the
final. Our aim in 1985 must be to main-
tain and, if possible, better this record.
It has also been a year of consider-
able manning turbulence. We have said
farewell to and greeted a large number
of officers, NCOs and soldiers. The list
below will serve to show the training
problems currently confronting us.
