Gunnery camp was not a great
success but LCpl Clarke showed him-
self to be one of the most consistent
controllers in the Regiment.
Lionheart started badly; Sgt Butter»
field managing to throw both tracks
before the troop had deployed. At
least, after that, things could only get
better. or so it was hoped! A 3 days
OP was the first task. this was completed
with consummate ease on limited man-
power. Our camouflage was so good
that more than one visitor was found
blundering about muttering “bloody
fools in the wrong place again!" From
that moment the exercise moved from
seized final drive to pack life and gear-
box changes. Cpl Hayden and LCpl
Davies were plagued by bad luck but
gained credit by working well
under difficult circumstances. Cpl
Evison has managed to avoid major
breakdowns on exercises so far. in fact
he's managed to avoid major exercises
altogether! Suspicions that the volley—
ball team go: on holiday over
Regimental exercises are to be
investigated.
Having returned from Exercise Lion-
heart. GW Tp began to tackle
important tasks; foremost amongst
these the organisation of a good troop
party to bid farewell to Cpl Bilynrd.
This was duly achieved in suitable style.
