40 years after.
A Reunion of I 'B' Squadron S Troop
Amoured car crew took place at High
Wycornhe in the home of Mt Harry
Kemp during September 1984,
Present were Mr John H D Richard-
son, Mr G E Taylor, Mr Harry Kemp
and wives.
After a sumptuous lunch (what a
difference from the Desert menu) they
re-lived those dlys of the Western
Desert campaign from Alamein to
Tunis.
All hope to meet again in the not too
distant future,
om Comrades Re-union. Bill and Kay
Davis with Regimental Secretary.

The photograph shows Trooper
Hodges just after he won 3 prize for
being the smartest soldier tn the 1nd
Cavalry Brigade. ‘Splodge’ joined the
12th Lancers at the Currush in Ireland.
serving in the Regiment at Tidworth
and Hounslow before embarking for
Egypt in December 1926. He played
cricket and football for the Regiment.
Completing his service some years
before the second World War when he
served in the Home Guard, Currently
living at Chatham in Kent he is visited
by members of the OCA living in that
arear
