Mrs Domone by Past and Serving
Officers 12th Royal Lancers in 1929.

2. 9th Lancers Full Dress Uniform and
Regimental horse furnishings
originally the property of Lt Col
H F P Vere»Laurie.
Loaned by his son Lt Col G E Vere-
Laurie.
The Medals of RSM Richardson are
a very important addition to the
Regimental Collection. The group
includes the Military Cross. This was
the only award of the MC to a Warrant
Officer of the 9th Lancers. The group
of 9 medals includes every Sovereign
from Queen Victoria to King George V1.
with the medals are RSM Richardson‘s
discharge papers and the telegram in-
structing him to report to London to
receive his Military Cross from King
George V at Buckingham Palace. Also
in the case with his medals are two
OCA Badges of the 9th Lancers.
Work is now in progress on the World
War 11 display based on the 14 Models.
As we now have an additional 7
uniform figuresI any uniform post
1910 would be very welcome. especially
uniform worn on service in the second
World War, be it khaki drill or battle
dress. Web equipment would also be
welcome.
We are grateful to Messrs. P L and J
Domone for the loan of the silver
statuette of a mounted Private of the
12th Lancers in the service dress of the
Firsl World War. It is another copy of
the silver statuette in the Officers' Mess
known as the “Bongo Beaker".
Captain Domone was Quartermaster
of the 12th Lancers during the first
World War.
