View from the WOs & Sgt: Moss Wolfenbuttell 1958,
After the well supported visit to the
Regiment for the Mons/Moy cele-
bration in June 1984. the OCA
programme followed its usual course
with the Canterbury Memorial Service
plus luncheon and the Recruiting Area
Dinner. Both events were well attended
and enjoyed by those members who
were present. lt was good to see so
many old Comrades at the Ceremony
of Planting the Field of Remembrance
at Westminster Abbey in November,
The Committee had hoped originally
to repeat the Windsor Luncheon and
Reunion held at Camber-mere Barracks
in l983 but. a change of Regiment at
that location made this impossiblet
Instead it was decided to hold the
Reunion lunch on l7th November at
the Duke of York‘s Headquarters Club
in London. This proved a fortunate
move as the HQ Club is obviously
popular with members. Over 80 people
attended; although more expensive
than the catering at the WOs' i! NCOs'
Mess at Combermere. the lunch still
represented extremely good value and
the service was excellent. Altogether a
very enjoyable occasion which the
Committee has decided to repeat at the
same location in 1985.
Your Committee meet regularly at
the Knightsbridge Barracks by courtesy
of the Household Cavalry Regiment.
We are grateful for their kindness and
hospitality, especially as a major
banack defect has resulted in the forced
move of the W05' 81 NCOs' Mess to
another part of the barracks, with all
the extra work and incovenience that
that involves.
The l985 Annual General Meeting
and Dinner was held at the Officers'
Mess of Inns of Court Regiment.
Again. we had an excellent meal and
capacity altendance. This popular
venue has been booked again for the
1986 eventt At the AGM it was

is still in a healthy condition; despite a
major donation made to the Regimental
Band full dress fund. Major Collins,
Mr Mawer and Mr Branton were due
to retire from the Committee by
rotation; Major Collins and Mr Mawer
were reelected. Mr Branton indicated
that he did not wish to stand for re-
election; Captam Scholte was elected
to fill the vacancy left by his retirement.
The Commiltee had bound Volume VI

to the Regiment; thus ensuring that the
Regiment owns a complete and up to
dale set of bound Journals. The
Volume was presented to the Com-
manding Officer by the Colonel of the
Regiment after Dinner.
The Mom/Moy celebrations were
held in July, a record number of Old
Comrades (approximately 120) travel-
ling out to Wolfenbuttel. The Corn»
