were all lined up and ready to march on to parade
when we heard the helicopter coming into land.
Then the band struck up and we were off, the
lance pennants began to flutter in the warm
breeze and everybody marched on parade to the
joy of the crowd. When the Queen Mother
arrived you could feel that everybody was proud
to be stood in front of such an important person.
It was a perfect day to receive the Guidon and for
all the past and present members ofthe Regiment
