Then the band struck up and we were off, the lance pennants began to flutter in the warm breeze and everybody marched on parade to the joy of the crowd. When the Queen Mother arrived you could feel that everybody was proud to be stood in front of such an important person. It was a perfect day to receive the Guidon and for all the past and present members ofthe Regiment 1821:3158 gig; esaitgilnSzayLegC-p l Saul, to be there. When the parade had finished it was Priestley, Sir David Scholey CBE, time for us to get in line for the photograph,vbut O N G Scholte, D A Scott, Pte shewalked down the line to talk With the families Scott, LCpl Seaman, Mai Gen R and the children.
