0n rcturn to barracks, we found ourselves
once mure in the midst of frantic pre atation,
this time for Army Week. which n to be
held from the 2nd — 9th of June in Vlcteria
Barracks, Ballast.
The Squadron display consisted of a musical
ride, based on the old 9th and 12th riding
school evolutions, which delighted the crowds
in Belfast. Also included, was a troop action
display. which completed an excellent SHOW
The results of the tronp tests are nnw with
us — these having taken pl ' between the
time of return from Ballyktnlar and out
leaving tnr Army Week. 4 Troop, under Lt.
Fanshawc, czlmc But on tnp, with an overall
win for them with the remainder of the
Squadron tt'UUpS in good positinns giving “A"
Squadron firhl place.
The Squadron Athletics were held thia year
lln 27th April, which allowed us little time
but in spite of notable efl'orts we were not
strong enough. although we had a greater
number of firsts than other Squadruns.
Sgt. Mulvihill was chosen for the Regir
mental Basketball Team, which did very well
in the Army Finals.
The .22 team brightened the picture [ml-
sldcrubly, however, by winning the Regular
Units .22 “Open" Cumpetitinn, llnd being
runners»le in the Northern Ireland Command

The comings and goings in the Squadron

record. However, to all who have left, we wish
the very best of luck, and every success, and
we welcome those who have joined. There are

Administrative Inspection The Regimental
Athletics Meeting was held soon after, on 4th
May. In spite of bad Conditions there was it
great deal of ellort expended at the Squardan
meeting. The must promising were : Cpl.
Scoins, Tpr. Monk and Tpt'. Harrison.
Lt. anshawe. Sgt. Mulvihill, L/Cpl. Retail
and Tpr. Edwardes are cangratulated on their
successes in the Regimental Athletics meeting.

Squadron in May on posting to War Otftce.
During the difficult and trying times since the
amalgamation he has held the Squadron firmly
together, and, with deft hand. has .set it firmly
on the right path. We wish him everv success
in the future, and in his new appointment.
Secondly, that of S.S.M. Branton, who left
