time in the Sergeant’s Mess, and we
await the imminent arrival of Cpl
Macintyre, Finally, we actually managed
to obtain a clerk who has lasted longer
than a fortnight: Tpr King,
What else to say? The hierarchy
(ZIC/SSM/SQMS Signals Sgt) will
probably best remember 1986 for the
mysterious deficiency of teddy bears
in SHQ. which meant that at any one
time on exercise somebody would be
without (In joke No. 1.) Otherwise it
was a pretty standard (ie frantic) SHQ
year, with CPXs imposed upon us as
well as the normal squadron commit-
mentst Finally. a mention for those
stalwarts who have been present through
the year. Cpl Grey. LCpl Beak, Tprs
Phillips and Sharman and last but by
no means least. Tpr Cox who probably
has more reasons to remember 1986
than the rest of us put togetheri
Admin Troop
The troop had a busy start to '86
after which we settled down to make
the most of summer working hours.
Italy raised some unusual “Q” problem
but then. it was a pretty unusual event
all round. The final exercises passed
off line Tpr Dorning was ab|e to prove
to his satisfaction that it is impossible
to break a Stalwart using your head
and knee but that the reverse does not
apply.
On return to barracks we bade
farewell to SQMS Bond who went off
to A Sqn as SSMr We congratulate him
and wish him wellt In his place we
welcomed SSgt Henderson from 2
Troop who arrived just in time for the
handover rush and is now thoroughly
broken in.
We are safely installed in Wimbish
and hope to settle down to an enjoyable
routine, after picking up the pieces
from a fairly memorable handover.
Finally, we bid farewell to Cpl Moulds
who has found a new home in the
unique C Sqn blue hangars Also due
to leave shortly is LCpl Stanley. We
hope he finds a de-mob suit that fits,
