LATER ACTIVITIES
During November and December
most of the Squadron participated in
adventure training in the Harz Moun-
tains. Activities included climbing.
walking and swimming, and are hardly
worth a mention in this article apart
from reminding, or inspiring, the
imagination on the sight of LCpl Revill
abseiling upside down from a cliff face,
because a harness could not be found
to fit his “none to minor" girthi
Christmas arrived and went and
January was mined by a Site Guard.
The Squadron and their wives are now
happily ensconced in Wimbish. and
2 Troop — Gunnery Camp Why are they smiling?
we are adapting to our new role as an
Armd Reece Sqn (Fetes and shows)
We have a new ORBAT and are
looking forward to the impending
Cyprus UNFICYP tours
No Squadron article would be com-
plete without mentioning that we have
had our usual high measure of success
both in the military and sporting fields
this year. Finally we bid good luck and
farewell to Major and Mrs Crofton,
W02 and Mrs Neumann, W02 and Mrs
Hayter, SQMS and Mrs Radford, Lt
Rigby and Lt Zeidler. Sgt Reid and
the remainder of GW Troop who moved
to B Squadron. A thankyou to all those
who have not been mentioned by name,
who have departed into the wilderness
this yeari We have also welcomed
Major Rutledge, W02 and Mrs Bond,
SSgt and Mrs Corby, Sgt and Mrs
Williams and his troop from B Squad-
ron and their wives.
