OCA and to end his membership of the
Committee. The two Committee vacan-
cies were filled by the election of Mr
Hayes and Mr Haines. Due to retire by
rotation from the Committee this year
were Mr Crisp, Mr Ducker, Mr Mont»
gomery and Mr Simmonds. All were
eligible and had agreed to stand;
they were duly re—elected. The meeting
unanimously approved a proposal that
the Quartermaster should be an ex
officio member of the OCA Committee.
Finally, the meeting noted that Mr
Maloney had agreed to take over the
duties of Hon Secretary to the Assoc-
iation.
In July a large number of Old Com-
rades attended the official re-opening
of the Museum. The ceremony was
performed by Councillor L Shepley, the
Deputy Mayor of Derby, The Regiment
provided trumpeters, armoured vehicles
and a lance escort. The Colonel of the
Regiment and the Museum Trustees
escorted the Deputy Mayor and numer-
ous official guests round the exhibition.
Later an enjoyable lunch party was
held for Old Comrades and guests in
the Derby County Cricket Club pavilion.
Back at the Museum. the afternoon
was enlivened by a talk on "Regimental
History and the Museum" by Major
R M Collins, which the Mayor of Derby
was able to attend. During the evening
Peter Jordan ran a social evening at a
local hotel; again the Mayor honoured
the occasion by her presence.
The Mons/Moy weekend planned for
25th to 27th September the first to be
held in this Country for 10 years. has
aroused a great deal of interest. At the
time of writing. roughly 300 Old Com~
rades aim to be present for all, or part
of, the weekend festivities.
Members may know that Home
Headquarters moved to new and better
offices in September 1986. Only about
100 yards from our previous home, but
the address is different; it is NOW:
