REGIMENTAL JOURNAL OF THE 9TH/12TH ROYAL LANCERS (PRINCE OF WALES’S) 21 1 Troop long time ago in a Galaxy (Hohne), far far away from nor- mal civilisation, the Band of Jedi Knights were readying themselves for the reinforcements to bring them up to the cor- rect combat effectiveness in the aftermath of the recent turmoil that has engulfed the Galactic Republic (Orbat changes). The first reinforcement to arrive was Sgt ‘Obi Wan’ Whitehead. He arrived fully prepared to assume command of his newly formed band ofJedi Knights. It was SSgt ‘Darth’ Smart that had passed over to the dark side in search of bigger and better weapon sys- tems and promotion as promised by the Emperor of ARMTAT, a small organisation part of the Imperial Forces (enemy). With Sgt ‘Obi Wan’ Whitehead now at the helm the training process began on the two drones of this elite fighting force. Cpl ‘RZ-DZ’ Mckay and Cpl ‘C-3PO’ Broadhurst. The process was such a success that we were able to send the newly promoted Cpl ‘Yoda’ Swain on a mission only worthy enough for the strongest of Jedi Knights, a guardian of peace and justice. His mission was to travel through the toughest of journeys in the Galaxy (Calais 7 Dover) and assume a position on Dagobah (Harrogate) to continue the teaching process of the Jedi code on young hope- ful recruits. On his arrival all communications had been sev- ered, it is assumed that his mission has been successful so far with the new arrival of Tpr ‘Jar Jar Binks’ Galsworthy and short- ly followed with Tpr ‘Jango Fett’ Peters. These young hopefuls will need to be watched closely as it is believed one of them belong to the dark side. It was not long before our first encounter was met. Sgt ‘Obi Wan’ Whitehead was to lead his Jedi Warriors and negotiate the arduous task ahead set by the Congress of the Republic. (Ex Plungers Claw). Little did the 11 Imperial Forces participating know there was a faction ofpolitical separatists operating prior to the mission. Their plan was to assassinate Lt ‘Queen Amidala’ Searby. To protect the Leader from their attempts he was sent on a covert transferral to another team in the Galactic Republic (Support Troop). With this transferral the Jedi Knights were left with no option but to take full advantage and allow Sgt ‘ Obi Wan’ Whitehead to lead the team to a joint first position on the Tests. Our second major task ahead was to fight the Imperial forces in an effort to quell the rebellion against the Galactic Empire on our own ground (Gunnery Camp). Queued by SSgt ‘Darth’ Smart’s forces of ARMTAT who were now in alliance with Naboo (Lulworth). Once our plans were formulated Maj Bannister the Senator of the Galactic Republic promised the best crew and all Level 6 scores on ACT and AST with Champagne. Well done to the more efficiently trained LCpl Proof thatSét /tehead does make /t out of the FMA ‘Anakin’ Hackney on his achieve- ments during this period, “may the force be with you my young apprentice”. The Galactic Empire has now been relocated to another star system in a galaxy many light years away from home (Canada). This has resulted in many of the fighting forces being dispatched to resolve the OPFOR matter with a blockade of deadly battle- ships (Sturgeon, pinzgauer and Salamanda), this is to allow the Imperial Forces of a bigger scale to train. The majority of the Jedi Knights remain together dis- guised as Tank Company 2 fight- ing the evil Imperial Forces. Those that have been transferred to other agencies to help the cause are Tpr ‘Skywalker’ Wykes a finely tuned smiling machine, Tpr ‘Han Solo’ Beaumont who is soon to be freed from the clutches ofJabba the Hut (RCMP). Mt Seat/0y finds two tare oatetp/Ha/s oh the name Cp/ Btoadhulst catches up on the Rugby news pnot to bedt/me Many have died in this new war against the Imperial Forces, but due to new technologies we have the power of regeneration (DFWES). This process is still in its infancy and side effects from the system are causing crews to be bombarded with ridicule from those that have survived, also it seems as though we are operating twice as long on the battlefield as expected. Some say that the Imperial Forces have been cloned to three times its normal size, but the Jedi Knights continue to plough through their defences. The story continue ...... CRW |
