(3) LCpl Lewis 422. LCpl Lewis was an integral member ofC
Sqn SQMS’ during the build up to Iraq deployment and
whilst on Op TELIC 7. Most notably his performance on Op
TOLKIEN was without fault and he produced an outstand-
ing display. He was quick to volunteer himself for tasks and
could be relied upon to provide the service necessary to sup-
port the troops at any time.
(4) LCpl Reynolds. For his general military performance
throughout the year. As part of a very small team he pro-
vided the day to day signals requirement for the BSC.
Working independently to BGs HQs, CO’s and other
nation’s headquarters on many occasions he consistently
worked hard and produced excellent results. Despite his
rank he also became the unofficial POC for specialist comms
within the Bde.
(5) LCpl Russell. LCpl Russell has been awarded a
Commendation for his exemplary performance as a newly
qualified Ammunition NCO during Op TELIC 7. He ran
the Bde Ammunition account for Camp Bedouin during
RSOI and then the 9/12L Battlegroup account; a diverse
mixture of ammunition from CR2 to small arms. His per-
formance was highlighted following the LS1 after which he
received “zero comment” for his work; a thoroughly impres-
sive performance.
(6) LCpl Oliver. LCpl Oliver throughout the year was out-
standing and on Op TELIC 7 he was tireless. Employed in
the SQMS dept he was responsible for the administration in
Camp Driftwood, Al Faaw. In addition he found time to
patrol, guard and involve himself in every other facet of life
at Al Faaw.
(7) Tpr Robinson. Tpr Robinson was awarded a CO’s
Commendation in recognition of his exemplary perform-
ance throughout Op TELIC 7. He performed duties above
the expectations of his rank and maintained a positive atti-
tude to all that was asked of him throughout the tour.
(8) Tpr Smith 097. Despite his rank and inexperience, demon-
strated robustness, initiative and constant professionalism
throughout the year. Technically too young to have been select-
ed for the BSC, an exception was made due to his fitness and
general positive attitude. He more than lived up to expecta-
tions and remained hugely enthusiastic for his work. He per-
formed over and above what can be expected of a junior Tpr.
