wlttch was about as had as tl looked,
but a Mess where we had a lot ol lttrt

latter ts equally well known to the lucal
populace, tl tudged by the lrtendltnr,. s
dtsplayed at, and after, our tntttal

The Mess ts sntall, wtth no spam
rooms at all now, but very
comfortable Now summer ts reported
to be on the way, we can nestle Ill our
corner at the Camp belttrtd a curtatn ol
green As there lS also ttme to draw
breath, after a spate of exerctses, the
team ts sendtng out It's scouts ttt
search at enterlatnmerttl With
contacts already made] all looks set

Durtng the year the Regtrrtental
Assdctatton made a generous and
substanttal grant to the Regtntent tor
the upkeep pl Regtmetttal Properly
Thts was dtvtded between the Otttrzers
and Sergeants Messes When you
conStder that the testonng at two
candelabra set us back about £1200,
and three ptctures the same, you can
judge how welcome are any such
contrtbultons. The Regtmerttal
Property ts out herttage and tt lS only
rtght that the servrng members drt
thetr utmost to ntatntatn tt tn the best
possrhle candtttrtn But tt ts a heavy
burden and we are grateful for the
Assomatton's help
SSgt Beaumont now runs the Moss,
atded by an increasntgly excellent and
helpful team headed by Cpl
Woodbrtdge and LCpl Gretg, Alter a
bapttsrn ol (machine gunl hre. wtth a
bullet tor too. a guest ntght lnr 60 and
a lunch lor lOO all lllSlde ten days, they
have set themselves htgh standards
The food on all three OCCaSIOllS was
nutstandmg, lot whtch, we are
gratetul to those excellent Cttttks Cpls
Leenards and Olsen

We are saddened by the sudden and
unexpected death at Cpl Johnson who
was also responsmle for helpth us to
achteve such a htgh standard at
messing, durtttg hts ttrne tn the
Offtcers’ Mess
As regards our comtngs and gotngs,
the wandetets have returned, Lewts
from Uganda, Stallord lrom the
Falklands and Reed lrorn Lebanon, the
