Once again the time has come for us to record our activities over the past twelve months, and so turning back the pages of our diary, we hope to glve you the comings, goings and doings of the Technical Department We opened the previous notes by bidding farewell to Captain lnow Majorl Warlow. In this issue we inusl open with yet another farewell, thls time to Captain Jim Mitchell, who left us to join the Staff at Castlemartin Ranges. in his place we welcome back to the department, after his tour as Regimental Sergeant Major, Captain Keith Jones, Somehow, either by good fortune, or good management. we have survived a hectic period since our last report, and our four ‘old taithfuls’, the store binners, have been seen in some unexpected places at unexpected times. More than once we have been accused of issuing spares like men With no arms. it has been good to have had all the stat? together in one place during the past year and we are fortunate that departures from ’Nuts and Bolts’ have been few, SSgt Beardrnore has gone to ERE to the Ayreshire Yeomanry Squadron, and our clerlt, Tpr Wilkinson to ciVilian life. As a department we have had a busy and successful training season. We have tried to gaze into our crystal ball and foresee the likely requirements and, by and large, have been reasonably accurate However, somebody always manages to break something we had not catered for, then all our ingenuity and prowess as scroungers is required.
