A National Serviceman , Trooper Sprakes has been with the famous 9th Queen's Royal Lancers in Germany for nine months . The 9th ( nick - name : " The Delhi Spearmen " ) recruit from Yorkshire and are affilia ted to the Yorkshire Yeomanry , WRIGHT PICTURED in the cab of his army lorry in Germany is 23 - year - old Lance Corporal Geoffrey Wright , of Syke House Farm , Swillington , near Leeds . A National Serviceman , Lance Corporal Wright has been with the famous 9th Queen's Royal Lancers for six months . The 9th ( nick - name : " The Delhi Spearmen " ) recruit from Yorkshire and are affiliated to the Yorkshire Yeomanry .
