All ponies entered for events II and IV must hold a racing or polocertificate of 14-1 or under , or be measured 14-2 or under at the Meeting 2. All horses and ponies ridden at the meeting must be bonafide ie property of the competitor using them . W. L. B. SOuter Esq , Col. J. S. Forbes . Capt . G. Hutchison . 3. All competitors for the Gujerat Cup who desire it and pay the corresponding additional entrance fee will be a 2nd Should however the number of pig be insufficient to run off the 2nd nomination , the cup will be decided on the results of the 1st nominations , and all fees for 2nd nominations will be returned . 4. Each heat will be in charge of an Umpire against whose decision there is no appeal , but he may if he wishes refer to the Committee . 5. All spears must be shown clean to the Umpire before starting and no spear , to count unless the Umpire can see blood or fat on the spear , or blood on the pig . This rule will be rigidly enforced . 6. Spears to be delivered on the off side only , except by left handed men who must declare . Spears must not exceed a total longth of 8 feet . 7. All entries are of men and not horses . 8. In the Point to point Races , all horses and ponies entered must be either competing in this year's Gujerat Pig Sticking meeting or have competed in previous ones , Five competitors to start or no race . 9. If Pig gets away unspeared all the riders in the heat shall be considered to have lost their chance , provided the Umpire considers a fair opportunity for spearing had been given . 10 Any one making a frivolous objection or an unwarrantable claim may be fined Rs 50 at the discretion of the committee . |
