Later it was possible to define a favourite between the three horses men tioned , but finally Dash o ' White wound up a decided first choice at 5 to 1 , with Scotch Eagle and Snow Crest on the 7 to 1 mark with Ghent of Old and Unole Jack after a point more had been laid against Uncle Jack . Rampant hardened from 10 to 1 to 8 to 1 , and Bovril III . , who was noticed at 10 to 1 and 8 to 1 in different parts of the ring , wound up at 9 to 1. Foxtrot eaeed from 8 to 1 to 10 to 1 to join Lutoi , and Time Enough was noted at 10 to 1 and 100 to 8. rut there was practically nothing for the others . Passing the pay gate , Ghent of Old went on from Royal Edgar , Scotch Eagle , Lutei , Rampant , Foxtrot , Bovril III . , and Uncle Jack , with Beaumonde tailed off . A mile and a quarter from the post Beaumonde was pulled np , and Lutoi took second place in front of Scotch Eagle and up . Rampant . At the water Uncle Jack fell , and at the pay gate Glennan was pulled Rounding the bottom turn , Rampant moved up to Ghent of Old , and two fences from the post Bovril III . pecked . Approaching the last fence Scotch Eagle , Bovril 1II . , and Rampant closed with Ghent of Old in front of Foxtrot , who made a slight mistake , and Royal Sport fell . Scotch Eagle then drew away , and re sisting Foxtrot on the flat , Scotch Eagle won by four lengths ; one length divided second and third . Ghent of Old was fourth , Rampant fifth .
