Mind if you holloa you've seen the right one . is for Ickham , where we ran in the rain ,
Those who rushed home , just missed their train . J for the Jolly good teas that they give us ,
The remembrance of them will always be with us .

How much mud we take in they don't seem to mind . for the ' orn that is ' eard on the ill ,
When we hear it , we run in the hopes of a Kill .
P is for Porter the master in green ,

is for Allfrey , an excellent whip ,
He never lets one of the hounds give the slip .
is for Basset the best sort of hound ,

We've hardly got out before they have found .
is for Caro , of which there are two ,

One runs like a hare & the other like glue . jump with great vim ,
is for Dyke , we
If we can't get across why then we must swim .
is for Exercise , there's plenty of that ,
Some people go out to run off the fat .
is for Foild , there is always a crowd ,
Ready to run over land that's been ploughed .
is for Garrington , that is the place ,
Where we once killed a hare that was tired of the race .
Are sometimes rewarded by getting a pad .
is for Line the hounds hold so true ,
As if to their hare they were stuck to by glue .
When there was no scent at all , we some times have met .
is for Taylor , the curate What , What ,
He thinks he is sporting , but really he's not .
U is for Us , the authors hereof ,
for the Mud , that sticks to ones shirt ,
But we go into tea , regardless of dirt .
is for Nickill where they are so kind ,
Quite the best runner we ever have seen .
for the Queer little man with the tails ,
To run with the se basset hounds , he seldom fails .
is for Rabbit , beware oh beware ,
Whatever you do , don't think its a hare .
is for Scent that is bad when its wet ,
Really its that , that is so much grieving us .
for Winston , who really is keener ,
Than some of the hounds that are so much leaner . is for Xmas a time of delight ,
We hope you will always be merry and bright . Y for the Yorkshire man , that wretched bounder ,
You may think it is rotten , there's no need to scoff .
for the Valuable hounds that arelhaving us ,
Who had to go home , before they had found ' er . for the Zanies who wrote this poem ,

the marshes ,
from large well suited to bassets , being the bugbear of an M.B.H. , and several capital free points were made in the Isle of Thanet and its vicinity , generally good , and where ditches just or just - not jump able are so frequent that only the hardiest and straightest followers can live with hounds . But we are not all budding C. B. Frys at the long jump , and many a splash has testified how desire doth outrun per practically covers , where scent especially formance .
